Playing SVCD

I downloaded a movie from a friend's site in SVCD format as a RAR. The movie is supposed to be good, but it doesn't play for me. I unRARed it into the bin and cue file and used Nero to write the image to the CDR.

When I play the image on my Panasonic DVD player, it's all choppy. If I turn the ff dial to make it run at about 1-1/3 speed, then the video and sound is OK, even though it is a little fast. The CD won't play at all on my PC in InterVideo or MediaPlayer. It also won't play the mpg if I browse to it and double click on it.

Am I doing something wrong, or is the movie bad? I get the same results from all three disks (part 1 - 3).

Firstly when you Burn the Bin/Cue to CD-r you should Burn at the Lowest Possible speed like 4X or 8X Max, because SVCD"s have no error correction so the faster you burn the More errors you get...and this Could just be a Bad SVCD which is Common with Downloaded files as a Lot of the Time the File can get corrupted through Repeated downloading....good Luck

PS: Try extracting the Mpeg2 file out of the Bin file and Burn the Mpeg2 file to CD-R in SVCD Mode with Nero and see if that helps....
