Hello,
I'd like to make vcd or svcd of good quality for my photo's collection.
I tried more than 10 programs (Ulead DVD PictureShow2, Nero Vision Express, Photo2VCD Pro, PhotoShow Deluxe, MemoriesOnTV, DVD PhotoSlideshow, etc.), but the video quality on TV is far from good.
Has somebody an experience, what program is the best for my purpose (background music, wide range of transition effects are necessary)?
I get the best quality from Ulead DVD PictureShow2 on VCD with the transitions switched off. The reason for this is that VCD allows still picture with better resolution than video (704x576 stills vs 352x288 video PAL or 704x480 stills vs 352x240 video NTSC. But when transitions are switched on then the still pictures must be encoded as video and the quality is lower.
So my suggestion is to use Ulead DVD PictureShow 2 and make a VCD sliceshow without transition effects. If the transitions really are necessary then make DVD slideshow or maybe SVCD slideshow instead of VCD slideshow.
