upgrade from Celeron - Now I lost the built in audio on the mobo (ASUS). Tried thins but finally gave up and installed my trusty LIVE sound card. Expirament some more and now I find that when recording from the MMC TV app the timer on the record window does not move. I confirmed that there is no recording. The CPU cysles are unchanged AND the filename on the hard disk is correct but never exceed 2K file size!?!?!
Has Anyone seen this???
I am using MMC 8.5, been running flawlessly for years until upgrading from my Celeron.... Thinking abot putting the celeron back in...!
This is a known issue. I have had the same problem too.
I'm not sure what the exact problem is, but its somthing to do with the combination of catalyst drivers, version of MMC and for me it was also because I was using WinXP (I did not have problems with recording when using any combo of these with Win2k).
I got the scheduler problem fixed by doing a fresh install of WinXP SP1, DX9 (not DX9a or DX9b), newest WDM capture software (dont reboot), newest catalyst/video drivers, current version of DAO software and newest version of MMC (I think its 8.9 now).
its seems the ol' fresh install is a cureall for everything that ails a computer. Of course it worked... dont know , dont care what was the real issue. But I'm past it. Now I can continue recording garbage that I never watch!
