i had a file which are in SVCD format, that is what i think, what kind of software or player do i need to play the file, do i need a dvd rom, the file is already copy to my harddisk, thanks
you need to find a program that plays dvd's on the computer. you don't need a physical dvd player, just the software. type free dvd software player or something similar in your browser and follow some links. you'll find one.
