Svcd with a Mac

Anyone of you guys ever used a PowerMac to create SVCD? I am new to this and need some help to understand the structure of all this:
I edited my movie with FinalCutPro and exported it using QuicTime setting.
“Simone_anniversaire_01”

I use ffmpegx to encode it, here the setting that I use:

Video setting: Video Codec=MPEG2 [.MPG] (mpeg2enc) Encode Video his check.
Bitrate calculator= 11 min keep in:
1 cd of 74m mode-2
700 MB

Video Size 720 X 480 Autosize: 3.2 Framerate: NTSC (29.97)

Audio setting: audio Codec= .MP2 encode audio his check.

Audio bitrate: 224 Kbit/s Sampling: 44100 Hz Channel: Stereo Mode:CBR
Audio Track 0
Ahdio gain:+0

That's what I got as a result:

1- simone_codec_02-1.mpg
2- simone_codec_02.m2v
3-simone_codec_02.mp2

I got those three file in VCD Builder

And I use Toast 6 to burn it and here are the result that I got:
I got four folder:
EXT:
LOT_X>VCD
PSD_X.VCD

MPEGAV:
AVSEQ01.DAT

SEGMENT:
ITEM0001.DAT
ITEM0002.DAT
VCD:
ENTRIES.VCD
INFO.VCD
LOT.VCD
PSD.VCD
My problem his that I can’t play the movie on my home DVD, it does not play
also on my computer using the DVD player. It works only when I use VLC
player opening the AVSEQ01.DAT file.

His there anyone that would help me understand what I am doing wrong?

I know nothing about Mac and hopefully never will. Homemade cd's and dvd's can always be a problem in standalone players. perhaps your player does not like cdr's or the particiular brand. perhaps your player doesn't like cdr's made by your particular burner or the program you used. it happens all the time. so while you're trying to figure out what is wrong with the process, keep in mind that it may have been done correctly and the player doesn't like it, no matter what else you have played in the player. a good for instance is my bedroom cd player. i have made audio cd's from the same batch of blanks using the same burner and the player will like one and not the next. like i said, it happens all the time.
