I recetly downloaded an SVCD movie. When I go to play the AVSEQ01 file I get this weird picture. The movie seems to play but it's like some pixels seem to move ahead with the next frame, but some lag behind. SOme pixels will change color into all the colors of the rainbow. ALso when i put the CD with the movie on it into my Malata DVP-500P DVD player I get the same thing. On the DVD player there is like static sounds sometimes. Oh and my computer there is no sound at all. Aparently my DVD player is supposed to be able to play SVCD and VCD.

I basically see the same thing on my DVD player only worse.

in short, delete it. if you downloaded as an svcd then someone simply converted it with the wrong codecs in their system. this is definitely not something you can fix, so don't chase your tail looking for some magic.

remember when converting avi to svcd if the picture or sound is wrong, your codecs are probably wrong and if you do it with them wrong, you're only going to get junk.
