ok here we go i am new to the vcd thing...(what i wanna do is burn a vcd to a cd-r) i know how to rip the movies into vcd format(... well at least i think i do....) just not sure what burner to use or where to go from there so if any one could help me out i would appriciate it greatly
You are "ripping" the movies from what? dvd's? if so, burn them onto dvdr's for alot of good reasons. vcd is not the way to get going these days. dvd burners are cheap, dvd blanks are as cheap as cdr's and hold 6 or 7 times the data. you can justify buying a dvd burner just in cost savings of blank dvdr's over blank cdr's. vcd and svcd had their place in history when dvd burners and blank dvdr's were expensive and not readily available.
A good freeware program for creating VCD is vcdeasy, the last compleatly free version was 1.1.5.2 its available along with other software for vcd at www.doom9.org under video utils.
