Can anyone recommend any good new bands?December 29 2002 at 8:09 PM | Rama from IP address 213.122.174.177 |
| To keep us going until the return of Ian's magical creations - has anyone seen any good new bands lately who might come somewhere close to the mighty Seeds? |

Thanks Stevie D - Yes The Coral - I love them, am into The Music and The Vines. We've done quite well for new bands this year. I quite rated The Libertines new album as very alternative, ESP is more my cup of tea, and I like Colour Of Fire who are quite a new band. But the best new live band I've seen this year are The Jeevas and their Album is really great. |

the electric soft parads debut album is also worht a look - some good stuff on it, i'd rate it better than the coral album myself even though its nto had broudie involved in it! |

The Jeevas get another vote from me. I also have been really impressed with The Coral, The Music, The Datsuns (what is it with bands beginning with 'The'?!) also BRMC and Electric Soft Parade. |

to be perfectly honest, i haven't got the jeevas album, nor do i own any of their singles. i haven't been to any of their gigs, either.
it's simply because they are a new british band which i have very poor chances of ever hearing a song of here on the polish radio.
at the same time, i want to emphasise that i've always been an eager fan of crispian mills and of everything he did with kula shaker and pi.
i only hope that i'll love the jeevas the way i admired crispian's earlier work.
