WoW players, and those from other games may be interested to know.
Lord of The Rings Online has a surprisingly mature playerbase, at least on the server I played on. I haven't been there in a while mostly because of money, but I haven't gotten the urge to go back yet either now that I have just a bit to spare..
I stopped looking for RP, and all this stuff, and trying to find a suitable replacement for atmospheres like The Castle or my early GemStone III days.. Once I got past the whole RP things, and started taking risks, I found lots of mature people around in general. There are a couple unofficial RP servers with active guilds with varying levels of participation and standards, but RP does exit in LOTR in a realistic way versus other games, I think.
Has its fair share of 1337 d00dz and stuff, but overall it really is a surprisingly mature environment, at least on the Landroval server, where I have a couple characters.
If people have never tried out LoTR, you should. You might be pleasantly surprised. |
