It actually varies from state...Some states process quicker and other are slow...Mine only took 3 months and then received the approval notice...Some place takes 6 months and some takes a year...The INS will send you a letter informing you about the approved petition and that your next green card will be mailed to your address...Some has to wait 3 months before they will received their new green card some even takes 6 months and some takes years...So it just depends on where you applied depending on your state....
