I was reading how you could set the MMP server as realistic as you wanted and I was wondering if that meant that you could even set it so that different bases were limited in their plane choices? I mean, realistically, a squad didn't fly an assortment of planes, they were all one or two plane types. So can we choose a French drome to fly spads and a Brit one to fly camels from and another Brit drome would have SE's? Only a limited number of dromes would have Dr1's. And even have limits on the number of players that can choose a particular drome.
And I was also wondering if missions couldnt be assigned when you chose a drome so that everyone leaving from that drome could be flying the same mission? Missions could change every so often much like targets change on a team target server in RB2. Missions could be designed so that, for example, if an allied drome is sent to escort bombers to a target, a hun drome would be assigned to patrol an area that included that target. AI pilots could fill in for empty dromes. Succesfully completing a mission could be rewarded with victory points so that there would be a greater goal to that server than just racking up kills. Or even, successfully completing a mission could allow the player a wider range of planes (dromes) to choose to fly from, thus giving everyone on the server incentive to fly their assigned missions. Of course, those who choose to ignore their missions would in essence be lone wolf or offensive patrols, which was also realistic. | |
