Response to What about single player?

We're looking at the other fronts (other than western) as add-ons to be published later. Right now, the thinking is to sell the game and then charge a small fee to purchase an add-on.

How this works is still being fleshed out. I'm assuming that you could choose which theatre in which to serve when you start. As each add-on comes along, I assume, you could get transferred randomly to other units.

This is just my thinking so far, we'll have to flesh this out in the design document (which is being done right now in fact).

Now, for some more concrete items.

We DEFINATELY want to have observers in the game, both SP and MP. I just met with Darkwing Tuesday for the first time (he was in a meeting near me), and we spent a good hour talking about cockpit views and what someone that might be sitting behind the pilot would see. We also talked about key mapping, and the views an observer might have. So, yes, these are big considerations for us.

The term 'dynamic' means different things to different people. One is a random generator, like RB, where no two campaigns are alike. Another is that each mission you do influences what happens on the next mission, and influences what your enemy does. I don't think we'll be going for the latter (maybe in some limited form), but I'd say I'm pretty sure that the former will happen.

Please accept all caveats, as this may change, but so far that's the way its looking.
