Pacific strike had the carrier deck. It was used to move around to view next mission, see kill board, chat with other pilots (equivalent of squad info button in RB) and talk to co's, mechanics etc (Intelligence) and while not RPG, it was a much more immersive experience than simply pushing the Briefing Tab in Red Baron. Especially, they threw in a certain personal aspect with the squadmates that helped you judge their level and you noticed when a "favorite" got killed. That would really fit in with the whole 17Hours ambiance. |
