Sorry. Don't mind me. It just makes me happy when I get to read the words of people who can actually use the English language well (and that actually includes almost everyone on this board!). It seems to be such a rare treat these days. Please don't automatically assume that anyone who writes well is a "snob" or is arrogant. Sometimes it's just a matter of personal style. There is nothing wrong with being erudite, and MY hackles get all uppity when I hear someone being accused of being snotty simply because s/he likes to "fly" the language.
Not trying to fuel a war or anything. Just tossing my two cents on the table. I know what it feels like to be accused of such things, which simply are not true. I don't think anyone on this board knows any one else personally (well...'ceptin the Professor and myself, anyway)--so how 'bout we give each other the benefit of the doubt, eh?
