Would you mind terribly explaining the process you, personally, go through after scanning, to end up with a finished, computer-coloured image? (*fidgets - asking for help always makes her feel stupid*). I know a lot of the way the finished pic looks must depend on the way it was scanned, and the type of program you have to manipulate it with afterwards, and so on... um... but any advice you can give would be really welcome here.
The program I've access to is, well, more for photograph manipulation than art (though I can colour on it in more or less the same way you would in 'paint' or something.). It's called "MGI photosuite II"...and to make matters worse, it's on the fritz - won't let me paste onto backgrounds, or use any transparency effects. Also, my pics aren't scanned as lineart.
