Hmm, reads Discworld, has a major thing for Pteppic, keeps trying to get him on that test, WHY DID THAT ALL SOUND FAMILIAR?!
Aha! The other side of the coin! YOU must be the friend that Gos told me was trying to get her to read the Harry Potter books! She told me why she has been busy lately, but only AFTER I wrote this message and humiliated myself...still, I don't think she likes HP enough to come here (and she hasn't even been to the main AL board in a while) so I MIGHT be safe. Unless you're mean and tell her to come here or something. :P You wouldn't do that, would you...?
Anyway, she just told me. It's been so long since I e-mailed HER that I was beginning to worry she was mad at me...so...I wrote to her, like an idiot, asking that. The thing is I've been VERY busy moving my insanely huge website from one server to another, one file at a time and then changing all the links to match the new addres, one file at a time for the past two weeks, so I wasn't able to write to anyone. But I sent her a quick message saying that I was sorry and explaining what was going on about nine days ago, and she didn't answer _that_, so I figured either she was REALLY pissed or something was wrong. Now I'm done with my site and can write again, but she's STILL not there...so...I wrote her. And now I feel like an idiot. Of COURSE it was real life getting in the way, like, duh! Real life is always more important than the 'net, so I shouldn't have yelled.
Teriyaki is indeed my other name; it's how I started off at Animated Lust but since then I changed over to Captain Chaotica!! and I've been that name way longer than I was "Teriyaki". I've got TOO many names to keep track of, on the 'net! So....WE'RE the friends-of-friends that our MAIN friends gossip about in the background. Interesting..... I mean, it's like I'm on the left, Gos is in the middle, and you're on the right, and she's the common link between us. But now she's not here and just THINK of all the plotting and scheming we could get up to! BWAHAHAHA!
I hope she didn't tell you TOO much about Discworld, such as characters' major secrets or the funniest, big fat wonderful joke that most of the entire BOOK was leading up to, kind of stuff. Some people say that Discworld doesn't have a plot, but I think that if you have to worry about spoilers, then it must have SOMEthing to spoil.
Which part of the game made you shudder, may I ask? The whole game itself in general, just the fact of the weird cartoony way it looks and the weird English accents, or the fact that it's really hard and roundabout and strange and puzzly....or a SPECIFIC scene?
If it's the parts with Rincewind and the mouse or where he has to prove himself to be "dead", I don't blame you, those parts got a good hearty EEWWWWWW out of me, too. But the whole game isn't that bad. It's actually quite funny and clever, and well-written.
And by the way, exactly WHAT does she say about me? Dare I ask? :P
