...one heck of a cool villian. And mind you, I'm being pretty forgiving, saying this. Considering that the heroine he brutally murdered is the one who bears an uncanny resemblance to ME... :P
Anyway....well...he's way too complex to describe here. Let's just go looks for now: Tall, very muscular, pale, big, luminous, exotic, slanty emerald green eyes, and long, thick, flowing, straight silver hair down to the backs of his KNEES. I mean wow. Of course, he's an anime character, he doesn't have to be realistic. I should also mention that he's got the silver hair while being a YOUNG man, so it's more striking. It turns out he's genetically engineered, so it's unclear how old he really is...there's one hint that says he might actually only be FIVE years old and grew really fast due to the mutations...
He wears a long very cool black leather trenchcoat (yeah!) and carries a thin but very, very, VERY long katana-style sword. His trenchcoat is worn open in front with his manly muscular chest showing, and the other parts of his outfit consist of random, assymetrical bits of armour, straps, and leather...it's all very sexy-on-purpose looking. And I assume he's got pants of some kind on... :P
He is--yes--a very powerful WIZARD!--and even though he's way physically strong and an accomplished swordsman, it's his biggest, most powerful spell that ends up menacing the entire world at the end of the game. And when you fight him, forget being hit by his sword, RUN FOR THE HILLS! when he starts casting "Supernova". He'd definitely have been a Slytherin...
But after all this evilness and murdering people and so forth, consider that he had a HORRIBLE home-life/childhood, his father was a mad scientist and kept tinkering with him because he wanted him to be _perfect_, he grew up way too fast and doesn't have the mental stability that society demands from someone who looks adult; his mother ran away and tried to commit suicide because she really loved another..it's all very tragic and soap-opera-ish.
So to sum up: Sephiroth is the very best kind of villian: A cold-hearted absolute bastard, but the kind of bastard you can feel geninely sorry for.
AND designed so that male gamers want to be like him and female gamers just WANT him. Heh.
He WAS in my harem, but then I took him out because (a) I already had more than enough video game guys in there to begin with, and (b) Sephiroth is bloody popular, and far be it from me to follow the crowd... :P
