It's scary as hell to think of one of JK Rowling's glorious (though hideous, disgusting, demonic, et cetera) creations resembling anything from a TV show.
Though, to be really specific, Dementors feed on positive emotions, not life force, and destroy a person by sucking out his or her soul. That, I suppose, would explain why the Inca Princess killed, whereas the Dementors turn their victims into zombies, basically.
But I'm a-rambling. An's just informed me that she's posted on Harry Potter timeline, and I must be off to check it.
