I was just listening to Great Big Sea today while driving up to the vet to have Kyla's A#(*&(#@ eye stitched up again (that rabbit cannot stay out of trouble!), and I was thinking that he is the perfect Sirius voice. In fact, I was thinking that Sirius probably was lead singer in a celtic rock band, even 'way back then. Either that, or he played bass.
And a real actor to play him? GABRIEL BYRNE. No other.
Only problem is that Gabriel is already getting a bit long in the tooth (okay, he's younger than Alan Rickman, so I guess he'll still work), so they'd better hurry and get to Book 3 FAST.
How old would Sirius, Remus, et al. be in the Harry Potter timeline? I'm thinking he'd have to be in his late 30's, if he was at Hogwarts in the 1970's. Which is what I've been hearing from all these Potter Trio fans. So maybe Gabriel and Alan will be okay, after all, eh? (Can you tell I've been listening to Newfie music all day?)
