**Extremely false haughty voice.** Of course you are. ^____^

**Sketches hurriedly.** Must ... rework .... sketch ... Gee, my ear itches.
>And I know you hate him, but I have a feeling that he's a big mooshball inside. After all, if he didn't love his son, he wouldn't have apparated right there in the grove and tried to bully Sirius into not saving his friends! (That was a wonderful bit there, by the way!) Jonathan probably had a da' who bullied him and bullying Sirius into safety is the only way he knows to show his love. He's sort of a sad character, seems to me. (As if I'd know...)<
**Stares blankly for a second.**
**Wanders vaguely into the next room.**
**Muffled by the walls:**
AAAAAAAARGH, I'M SUCH AN IDIOT!
Would you seriously believe that, in all the time I spent writing that thing, I never saw what you've spotted in one reading? I saw and wrote Johnathan Black as a bigoted, underhanded, treacherous bastard who cares more for his image than his son, hence his announcement in the Daily Prophet that he'd disowned Sirius. It should be relatively obvious that he simply blew their little spat out of proportion rather than disowning him officially. But you're right: his motives couldn't be based in anything but love, if not for Sirius then for Bridget, or his family life, or something.
Wow, Cassy has some serious rewriting to do. In her next fic, not in this one. (This also spoils a bunch of my other ideas. Bah. Ah well, nothing for it. Thank you for pointing out my mistake, Taulai, even if you didn't mean to.)
