Response to 'Master Move' vs. Early wrist cock

I put this separately because this is my observation vs Bertholy.

When you ride a bicycle (yes that again) most people push down on the pedals. If you clip in you can also engage other muscles and pull back and up as well as push down. What many don't realize however is that when you push down you are likely using part of that energy to lift your other leg. Even without clip if you raise that other leg yourself the motion is more efficient relative to powering the bicycle.

In my swing like most I fight the 'Hit Impulse' and early extension of my right arm. However even with inertial pushing if I don't 'support' my arm with positive muscle tension to hold a bend at the elbow it will tend to extend too soon. The corollary to Bertholy which I was already beginning and Bertholy has convinced me to incorporate (and modify) is to have sufficient muscle tension in my trail arm that it mooves down with a significant bend at the elbow and bend at the wrist. I don't currently attempt to resist anything or apply a positive force as Bertholy teaches, but just that slight muscle tension makes a tremendous difference in the extent to which the angle is held and subsequently ball contact and distance.

This is now the 'minimum' that I need to do. If you look at this clip of Scott you will see that his trail arm has a substantial bend at the elbow until the frame before impact. If you try to duplicate that I think you will find yourself doing at least my minimum.
