I have looked into the swing slow idea a bit. Most every poor player that I have seen swings much slower over all then a typical pro. Your info about top of backswing to 6/100 is quite interesting though. Sounds very lodical. Poor swingers are slow where they should be fast and fast where they should be slow.
Anyway if you don't believe that the overall pro swing is very fast, there is an easy way to find out. Next time you watch a tournament on TV all you have to do is get a club out and swing along with the pros. It is my experience that most golfers will just be getting to the top of the backswing when the pro is posed in his or her finish position.
