As I have said here before, I don't believe anyone to date has clearly determined what the heart of an efficient golf swing is. Jono's posts are fascinating but I stumble when I bring the back of my trail hand down with no body shift. It kills my momentum and I am left with a second start position and an inability to generate power. I hope that Jono reads this and can point out the error of my ways. I am in agreement with you to the extent that I believe it is possible to learn an efficient swing with a relaxed, fluid and joint-safe approach that doesn't require memorizing Gray's anatomy or getting a degree in physics. I also think that those who are so inclined can "filter" in a good swing through intense physical effort ala Bertholy, as Pilates does with dance and Nicholaides does with drawing. |
