You are relatively new here so you were likely not part of discussions I've been in about feel.
I believe feel is critical but it is only useful IMHO when it is correlated to real. That is the role of video. Not just 'technical adjustment' but to teach the golfer the reality resulting from a feel.
IMHO (and there are a few others now who would agree based on their stories) golfers spend YEARS (perhaps their whole playing lives) incorrectly associating 'feel' with reality. As a result even when they know what to do (as in hold the angle in petearm's story) and believe based on their 'feel' that they are; it turns out that they aren't.
These are prime candidates for a simple program of take a swing - check the video. When the video shows you doing what you want, the 'feel' you have is the 'feel' to deliver it. After which you can play by feel - accurately.
The problem with Galway IMHO (and in my experience with him in tennis) is he has the process backwards. Or to paraphrase Jim McLean - 'This shot is 100% mental if you have good mechanics. If you have bad mechanics this shot is 100% mechanics.'
