IMHO most golfers do not know the correct positions. At my range I see precious few practicing positions at all and some of the ones that do are practicing incorrect positions.
Beyond that even if you know a correct position statically that does not mean that you know how to get there dynamically. This is not a 'feel' issue but a basic mechanical one. What you need to do 'mechanically' to get to a correct impact position from the top of swing is NOT learned by posing in that impact position.
I might agree with your focus on 'feel' is even half the golfers had even a hint of correct mechanics but they don't.
As others here are begiinning to discover, the 'feel' of a correct release is not one they could have identified before. It is not the same as going through the positions slowly.
At least we agree you do need to learn correct mechanics. I and I think a few others here vehemently disagree with your characterization easily.
