I've posted several other places but to keep it complete. The magnitude of bend is interesting but not particularly relevant IMHO. The direction is. There are MANY photos accross MANY years that show exactly the same direction of bend for the best players. In addition even when the shaft is straight at 6/100s it is clear (as in the Sergio sequence) that the club head was lagging an instant before. So even in the cases where the club is straight the forces on the club are decelerating the handle and eliminating the lag of the clubhead. Somehow I don't think ALL those photos (including the video I took of Scott) suffer the same 'illusion'.
Like I said - it is the way it is. And the 'creative' explanations are coming.
