Width of stance, length of one of the feet plus two inches between the heels. Ball position, opposite inside of left heel. Knees point towards the ball and toward one another. All of the weight is carried on the "inside" of the feet. There is no movement from the right foot up thru the right knee and into the right thigh. A stable platform, with the body weight equally distributed between the"inside of the feet from heel to toe". Stand dynamically, not loosely to the ball. Stand with upper body tall, with the buttocks slightly extended to counterbalance the weight of the player's head. The player's head is cocked slightly to the right with the left eye sighting more than the right eye. The hands are carried slightly in front of the ball forming an almost unbroken line between the ball and the left shoulder formed by the clubface and the left arm.
Bertholy appears to have a perfectly 'normal' stance width - apx shoulder width. I suspect he is looking for 'athletic' vs 'geometric' stability by which I mean your flexed legs and you trained effort limit rotation and not an ultra wides stance with little 'effort'.
