Response to Hypothesis

Quote from a more "simple"minded golfer, Ike Handy: "If it were posible to invent a mechanical gadget which would be of any service, I would say that it would be what might be called a wrist-minder, some kind of ratchet affair that would permit unlimited cocking of the wrists but no uncocking. It is my conviction that wrist action on the downswing is the proximate cause of most missed shots. ...I have thought of doing so for experiment but have never encased my wrists, fully cocked,in a plaster cast, I am able to freeze them in that position without it, and I know that it is not possible to keep them so frozen and hit a very bad shot."
