In another post, Bertholy talks about the '3 Majors' of the golf swing:

1) Maximum club head speed at impact
2) Solid Contact
3) Contraol of ball flight patterns

This new posts breaks down the 3 and provides the links to the parts of the Bertholy Method that are relevant.

e.g. To achieve maximum club head speed at impact you have to contain the power until it 'explodes'. THe containment is accomplished with the trail hand 'Claw'.

The sources of that power ('Build') are the lower body, the tension between shoulders and hips at top of swing ('X-Factor) and the arms.

The one element that may not have made previous posts is 'reversing the head'. Instead of just keeping 'nose over knee' implying a stable head position in the downswing, Bertholy believes you can get additional power by allowing your head to move slightly away from the target coming into impact. My interpretation of this is that it creates an increased 'whip' effect.
