I have reacted in various ways to 'bad' rounds and I have seen playing partners react in different ways to the same.
Some reactions:
1: Anger! *#$ $#%^% Club throwing and pouting are the common symptoms.
2: Unhappy but dedicated plugging away while complimenting the good shots of your playing partners and sort of being a good guy.
3: Resignation. Just give up and act all depressed.
4: Resignation. Just give up and goof around having a 'good time' though somewhat forced at times.
5: Humor and laughing it off.
6: Play the with the same care, effort and attitude as a normal or good round.
I tend to go with 4 through 6 most of the time though I am moving more to 6 I think. LOL I have a friend who loves golf and is shooting in the 90's most of the time. He plays in 1, 2 and 3 almost every round. He will often start yelling at his ball to go out of bounds when he goes bad which is usually early in the front nine. I don't know why shooting a certain score becomes so important to us??? Who cares really? We are all going to die and the fact that we once shot a at some tough course is not going to make a difference then. LOL it is a good idea I think to remember that playing golf is a tremendous privilege that many people in the world will never have. No matter how badly you or I play we are still lucky as H E double hockey sticks to be out there.
So how about you what do you do when a round goes 'bad'?
