Response to All I can report is my experience....

The hip will get more stress with the leg straight at impact. With the leg bent "normally" the knee takes more stress. Flaring out the leading foot 30 degrees or more can help alleviate this to some degree. The scientists studying these points are out to find out what the most efficient motion is with an emphasis on protecting against injury. As Peter pointed out though different motions can affect people's results differently than expected. happy.gif
