Response to Re: Same Ole Thing - Bad News Good News

Fortunately, we can still play while making changes /improvements....AND if we can "stay out of way" and resist the temptation to think about the changes as we play, we will experience the benefit obtained to date.

Unfortunately, the time needed to effect lasting change is often longer than we think. One of my customers and long time member here Lyle A mentioned he is reading a book called "Mapping The Brain". The book suggests that to effect a permanent change may take up to two years. This is unfortunate and bad news to most golfers, who are always looking for that easy fix, and so give up before the work is finished.

Fortunately, we have sages like Paul Bertholy ( only the lazy fail ) and Carey Mumford ( it takes as long as it takes ) who mince no words about the process involved in improving.

So I guess we just keep on keeping on and over time, these changes will filter in the way everything else has!
