I think that the most important shot is the first one on every hole. Then the approach shots to the greens and second shots on par 5's are next. The reason that I think this is hitting the ball well makes a person happy. Thinking about it if I hit the ball well and chip and putt like crap I am still happy at the end of the day because I know I can improve my short game. If I hit the ball all over the place then it is long day looking for balls and hitting provisional shots and so on. Not as much fun as bombing it off the tee and hitting solid and on line from the fairway even if the score is not so good...
