KJ missed three putts inside his "should make" range that could have put Toms on ice before all the drama...and off course Toms hit it close in the playoff, and missed the 3 footer to extend the match...
Last week in my match on a par 3 I hit the green, about 45' below the hole, my opponent pushes his shot and is off the green. He chips to 4 feet below the hole. I putt to three feet below the hole. He makes his, I miss mine. He wins the hole. He beats me 11-9 the difference being totals....
The overlooked factor is playing styles...some players are always gonna be precision ball strikers, really good technicians...others hit it all over the course, always seem to be hitting out of trouble (Seve), but they still win.
