I agree, HSS was the best golf I ever played. Took me to a 6 index and I can still hit the ball far with it but I got infected with the hooks with my irons. Can still hit the driver great with it but I have no confidence with my irons anymore. With those I have to play for a hook and it's too hard to try to play for a hook all the way around the course. Plus there is the occasional block that takes the ball into really bad places. I know it's because I'm letting the clubhead turn over too soon but just can't seem to fix it. If I could arrive at impact every time like Gainey it would be great.
