Hawk, try this to stop the snap hooks.

Try moving the right hand around so far to the right on the club that the pad under the right index finger top knuckle is under the grip and pointing up at the sky. That would mean that the pad of the index finger top knuckle is at 6 o'clock on the club. This puts the right hand in a position that will not allow it to rotate and close the club face at impact. This right hand position will also keep the right arm pointing up at the sky throughout the swing eliminating the hook.

I know that this is exactly backwards from the cause and effects of hooking in a normal rotation golf swing, but this is not a normal rotation golf swing and the rules for a rotation swing do not apply to a blocking type golf swing.
