Ham I agree with you. There was one thing that made the biggest difference in the world in my ball striking and distance. The head over the right knee just kept me losing my lag and causing early release and flip. I was looking at Mark Evershed about 2 years ago and he was commenting on Ben Hogans impact position in 5 lessons. Once he explained that if you look closely the ball ball already leaving , the head is where the ball was. so the ball was actually centered to the head at impact.

But the comment was that he moved so far forward of where the ball was. he also mentions that the head behind the ball or under the trail knee does not let you create the lag pressure where you need it. So if you cant keep the divots in front of you with irons, try keeping your head right over the ball at impact.
