I have used impact tape in the past. Regarding my impact analysis, I would also want to know where contact was made on the ball. Maybe put some type of transfer paper on the CF. when the CF makes contact, the ball would get a tattoo. Hmmmmmm, maybe carbon copy paper.
Also, I would think that the 1000fps setting on a high speed camera would be good enough to see the actual impact, but I am not sure. I do know that you would have to have done nuclear powered lighting aimed at the ball to see it.
