I am going to the BMW Championship Saturday in Saint Louis. Due to today’s rainout The first round will be played tomorrow and both the second and third rounds will be played on Saturday so I will get to see the best golfers in the world play two rounds in one day. I wonder if I can find a pro golfer that swings like I do to watch? (LOL) I don’t think any of the pros use a split grip. Anyway I may not be able to sleep between now and Saturday due to the anticipation. Last year I went to the Viking Classic down in Mississippi and enjoyed it very much but the quality of the field was not even close to the quality of the BMW Championship’s field as all the best golfers are there except tiger due to his knee injury.
I normally hang out at the range for a good part of the time when I attend an event. Off the tee I try to get behind them so I can see the trajectory clearly.
Without Tiger you may have more reasonable galleries. When they were at the Barclays there seemed to be a lot of space along the ropes. There's none of that in a Tiger gallery.
Sergio Garcia, I think he is the best ball striker on the planet. He is not the best player but he hits the ball on a par with the great Ben Hogan. I also want to get a look at VJ as he is on a roll. I have been to the Memphis Classic many times and the tournament in Mississippi and neither of those tournaments drew a field even close the caliber of this tournament.
