Well

August 5 2011, 9:23 PM

Bob got in about 530 Thurs...we caught up and kicked it a bit. I showed him my park and we hit a couple bags of Birdie Balls which he found fascinating. Then we walked the dogs i am babysitting, and then Bob treated me to dinner at Blake's Seafood...he got off cheap cuz I had already gorged myself at the OLA scramble earlier. We had a couple of beers and WAY too much bread, and had a good dinner just talking about life, golf, and stuff.

When we got home, I poured him another lager that he really liked but he begged off on the full one, so I finished his and drank another. Bob gave me two nice golf shirts and assured me he didn't jinx them with any loser mojo so I accepted them. Kim was home so we sat and visited awhile and then the old man ( Bob's 66 yrs young ) and Kim decided it was time for them to go to bed so they did. I finished off the last lager....

Oh yeah..he beat me three ways in our 20$ Nassau shooting 37-43 to my 39-46. He tried to give me the match on several holes but I putted like a candy *** and couldn't hole the putts when I needed too..two "fugly" shots down the stretch also contributed to my demise.

Bob is a super guy and we had a great time, my high school buds we played with were most impressed by the way. I only wish we had more time to show him Vermilion and the night life on the river and the coast....next time Bob!

Well said

The match was closer than the scores would indicate;as Kevin pointed out,it came down to putting and he just couldn't make them when he had great chances to gain the advantage. Part of that was not his fault,as they were in the process of aerating and top-dressing some of the greens.
It was a lot of fun and Kevin is a great host.Hitting the Birdie Balls was a treat, and I'm going to order some.

Hey Bob,

August 6 2011, 6:12 PM

sounds like the two of you had a good time. A round of golf with a good friend is hard to beat for enjoyment.
Bob, are you still stack and tilting? What happened to your friend Denver Haddix. See his web site is pretty much dead.
Paul
PS: Was in your state last month. Had to see Wright Patterson museum. If you like planes, this is a must see.

Hi Paul

August 6 2011, 9:46 PM

Denver got married and took up a new non-golf career;so,he's no longer teaching golf. He still helps me with my golf swing,as a friend;not sure if you call it Stack and Tilt, but his instruction helps.

Cheers,Bob
