Problem with micro payments is that there are a lot of them, and get put together in one big lump .. just like my mobile phone bill ... grrr (tm Bob)
The annual subscription model works for me, I can pay for a service in one go and forget about it for a year, just like my Pc Plus sub.
I get to read my copy of pcp as many times as I like, lend it to friends, file it in date order, and on vary rare occasions (such as moving house) send it to the recycling plant.
