I remember how excited I was when I got my first freelance job--I'd spent weeks going through Brian Keith Voiles' material and Carl Galletti's Protege course, and I was excited and intimidated all at the same time!
Since I like to learn from what other people are doing, I've got a couple of questions: How did you find out about the position, what did you do to land it, what's your experience, etc?
On a side note, you may want to keep your eyes open for some QuarkXpress resources--it's a very high end layout program that many (if not most) newspapers and magazines use for their publications.
