Response to Literary agent for my debut novel

Hi Mrinal,

As you are probably aware, there are a large number of literary agents, depending on where you live or what market you are approaching.

I do not know where you live, so it's difficult to advise you.

I would suggest that you do a search on the Net regarding "literary+agents+yourcountry" and see what comes up. Alternatively, you may like to purchase one of the literary agent guides available at http://www.Amazon.com and other outlets.

The two I am aware of are:

* "Literary Agents: What They Do, How They Do It, and How to Find and Work with the Right" by Michael Larsen (US$12.36)

* "Guide to Literary Agents 2001 : 570 Agents Who Sell What You Write" by Donya Dickerson (US$17.59)

Apart from giving you contact information, both guides would also include detailed information on how to deal with agents which would be a must before you sign up with one.

I hope this helps.

regards
Michael
