Response to Affirmation advice

We are visual creatures, so it's best to combine powerful affirmations with powerful images you wish to attain in your life.

If, for example, your affirmation is:

"I am a great writer".

Say this continuously (minimum of 12 times and with conviction) as you imagine in your mind's eye yourself writing. See the words flow easily. Imagine how wonderful it is to produce a great work. See yourself accepting a writer's award or being interviewed on TV about your new book.

This are just a few visuals you can use to add value to your affirmations.

You can use over 145 positive affirmations written specifically for writers in my book, 'Writers on Writing'. It also includes over 360 literary quotations including excellent advice on technique from the masters of our craft.

For best results, I would suggest saying the affirmation and performing this little visualization ritual each morning when you awake, so that you set yourself up for a good day of writing. And also perform this every night as you are about to go to sleep, so that you "program" your subconscious mind.

If you stick with it, you'll be surprised how effective it is. I use it and it works for me.

regards
Michael
