Say Whit, my bro Frank in now a member of the All Class Reunion Committee, and I expect to join up myself. All of the older members are tired and want someone else to take over. Frank was wondering about the possibility of expanding your site to include a page for each of the classes that are involved and the ones that could be involved???? As far as expenses for maintaining the site, they have big bucks in their treasury and get donations each year from alumni. Let me know what you think
The focus each year is the class that is celebrating their 50th Anniversary. This year is was the class of '50 and next year '51 and so on. I think their reunions take place at the same place as yours.
This years all class reunion will be held in May at the Wayne Community Center. The price is very affordable at $18 per person. this only includes dinner, drinks are extra.
The committee award scholarships to WMHS students each year. If I'm not mistaken, the awards are renewable, too.
I attended the all class reunion on Friday, May 17, 2002. It was held at the Wayne community center. There were over 400 people in attendance.
I was surprised at the number of people that I knew. Of course, the class of '57 was well represented as they were holding their 45th reunion on Saturday, May 20. Went to that one too. They had 98 classmates attending.
It seems that a problem is occurring as the classes that are being involved are becoming larger than previous classes. The all class reunion had to limit attendance, so those who waited to send in reservations were left in the cold, so to speak. It pays to reserve early at this one.
Next year they may consider a larger site. Next year the class of 1953 will be honored. It won't be long till our classes will be involved, honored and as usual you are invited.
They awarded scholorships to WMHS students.
A very nice buffet was served. Total cost was $18. Drinks, including pop was extra. A very affordable evening.
