A book to check out if you like the Brontes:
As I was perusing the library shelves for my research project on Charlotte Bronte's novel Shirley, I came across a book called The World of the Brontes by James Birdsall. It's filled with beautiful color photographs of all the places that the Brontes lived or spent their time, including the moors and the parsonage. Check out the book! The pictures are great!

      My honors thesis presentation:
I'll give my honors thesis presentation on December 1, and I want to invite you all to attend! The presentation will be sometime in the evening, most likely in the College Center, and it will last about 45 minutes. My topic is Appalachian Literature and Culture, particularly the literature of Denise Giardina and Lee Smith. As soon as I get more details on the time & place, I'll let everyone know. Maybe we could talk Dr. Shurbutt into counting this for culture points (hint, hint).
