True, I did not consider contractual obligations to these sordid appearances. However, if contracts also gave privilege agreement of media promotion at the shows conclusion, then CBS is definitely doing their least by consigning show participants to the dreg circuit. Definitely not the A list of guest appearance spots, I doubt that this was the type of promotion envisioned.
Fulfilling contractual agreements is one thing, but although you may be employed in some capacity in the biz, I do not agree with you that you have to do "whatever it takes" to get ahead. Casting couches and similarly related seemy sides of the business are legend, but performers who garner longevity and respect are those of substance. I stand by my opinion that appearances on such pornographic and infantile programs will have no benefit in boosting would-be "careers", only appealing to the most banal simple-minds. For CBS contractual obligations to require participation in such tripe is only evidence of their value of their lack of value in their "guests."
