Ok guys! I finally found the board!!! Yippeeee!!! Well, for those of you who don't know me, I served from December 2003 to July 2005. The reason I'm posting this is because, frankly, it's costing me an arm and a leg to call everyone! I've contacted many people by telephone to let them know about something Sister Lucky Fifita and I are planning for May or June of 2006. The exact date is up in the air as of now. Originally it was from May 29 to June 1, but many people could not make it because they are in school and/or teaching during fall/winter/spring. Now we are hoping to do it at the end of a week. Possibly a Thursday through Saturday, so as to not take up too many weekdays. Please give us your input on when the best time period would be for you. We will try to accommodate as many people as we can. We want your oppinion to better decide when to have it.
We are planning "The Maryland Baltimore Mission Campout 2006" for those who served in the mission between approximately 2000 through May 2006 (this time frame is just so we can have a good turnout of people that will know each other. Anyone can come, but we just dont want someone from 1994 to feel out of place. You are, however, welcome to come). It will be held at Heber Valley Camp near Heber, Utah. We are planning a lot of awesome stuff like: games, activities, relays, a luau organized by Sister Lucky Fifita and friends/family (we are arranging for there to be hula dancers from BYU also), if we have a good turn out (at least 50 people) we have some connections that could get us a General Authority to speak to us for a literal "fireside", the "Challenge Course" which is a ropes course (repelling, climbing etc.). There is a lake near-by where there are canoes and paddle boats available, and a lot of hiking trails. We will actually be camping out in tents!
We are really excited and want to make sure a lot of alumni can come. Please respond with your thoughts, concerns, and suggestions, or just anything else you want to say!! Right now we're looking at Thursday, May 25 to Saturday May 28th. What do you think? I look forward to hearing from you soon!
Also, if you want more information on the campout, feel free to e-mail me. I have saved several e-mails I have been sending to the RM's I have contacted thus far. We have several details worked out, but are still working on some details we can't resolve until we solidify dates and have a somewhat good idea of how many people are PLANNING to come (not an absolute "Yes" at this point, just if you are interested and are planning to go,but first, we need input on when the best time frame is for each of you!

Man, life's complicated, huh?

Be glad I'm the one planning and organizing this jumble of stuff, and not you!!

Love,
Sister Heather Kirkpatrick
