My ban ended up not being so important. Right after I appealed it, some of the banner ads started giving users (myself included) Trojans. Getting rid of them became everyone's top priority, so I just let the ban expire, and I'm back on good terms with everyone.
As a matter of fact, I'm a candidate for modship. The chick who banned me sent me a message saying that I've gone above and beyond normal user status with all my time in Questions and Assistance, as well as by how many other people I've busted. She recommended me, but I don't know if I'll get it or not.
