Which Emerson?

I've considered them as well, but I found the blades on most of them to be a bit small at <3.5"

The Commander is adequate, but that recurved blade would be a pain to sharpen.

You might like the Emerson SOCFK. 3 3/8" blade. $150. For the time being it is only sold at the following internet dealer:

And Emerson also has that knife they developed for Search & Rescue teams, but they only way to get that is directly from Emerson, and I think that they will only sell it to Military or Police.

BTW, when you go looking for a MT Socom, make sure you get the new Socom Elite rather than the older Socom. The new one has a stronger lock and other refinements.
